Girls Night Out: Tie Dye
All teen and tween girls (6th-12th graders) are invited to Girls Night Out: Tie Dye on April 12th from 6-8th at the Yachats Commons basement. Come and learn the history, different techniques and uses of tie-dye. Simple dinner provided. Please bring two items you would like to tie-dye. Items will be available to purchase. Cost: Free. All teen and tween girls (6th graders+) are invited to a post Valentine’s Day celebration on Tuesday, February 15th from 6-8 PM at the Yachats Commons basement. We will make dinner, discuss girl ‘stuff’, and learn the history of Mehndi, or the art of body painting henna and practice our henna skills with local artist, Gretchen Armstrong. Cost: Free. Reduce Crime and Save Money
Join the Children’s Trust of Lincoln County on Thursday, October 28th at 6:30-7:45 PM at the Yachats Commons. Share your opinions and ideas on how we can support our local kids. Teen Halloween PARTY!
Come and celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 29th at 7:00 PM in the Yachats Commons! 6th – 9th graders are invited to the ultimate Halloween party of the year. Snacks and drinks will be provided. For more information, call (541)547-4599
YYFAP Closed August 30-September 6th
The Yachats Youth and Family Activities Program will be closed August 30th-September 6th in preparation for the upcoming school year. All of our programs will resume September 7th including our afterschool program, called Recreation PLUS. Recreation PLUS is our drop-in afterschool program and children ages 6 and up are welcome to join the fun every day at the Yachats Commons from 3:30- 6:00 PM. Children may take the school bus to the Yachats Commons after school and must be picked up before 6:00 PM. Children will have the opportunity to cook, play sports, make crafts, and more!
