Our Board and Staff

The Yachats Youth & Family Activities Program has one full-time and two part-time staff members. Debbie Jackson is the YYFAP executive director. She takes care of all the paperwork. She also writes grants and oversees all YYFAP activities. Mellie Bukovsky is responsible for coordinating and implementing YYFAP’s cooperative preschool, Recreation PLUS, and summer exploration programs. Cicely Bernard is our Activities Leader. She supervises kids and activities during Recreation PLUS..

The Yachats Youth & Family Activities Program (YYFAP) was started in 1995 by the Friends of the Yachats Commons Foundation. It remained a Friends project until November of 2000, when YYFAP obtained its own tax-exempt status, and became an independent organization.

The members of the Board of Directors are:

Myron Eckhardt, President, Retired school psychologist

Max Glenn, Treasurer, Retired Minister, non-profit executive

Nancy Batchelder, Secretary, Yachats City Recorder

Stacy Smith, Parent of participant

Leon Sterner, Community Volunteer Extraordinaire

Chris Graamans, Business consultant, parent of participant. Has been involved with governing YYFAP since 1994.

Board members receive no compensation.
